Born in Portland, OR, on October 2, 1939, Mary was a woman of deep faith and unwavering kindness.
She cherished her family, finding joy in gardening, music, and laughter. A devoted wife of 58 years to George Eastergard, Sr., she instilled Christian values in her children.
Mary is survived and dearly missed by: her husband George; her children George Jr. (wife, Lynn), Marcus (wife, Kelley), Jessica (husband, John) of Atlanta, and Joel (wife, Madeline); her grandchildren Trey, Drew, Megan, William, Lauren, and Zachary; and her two great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents, Albert and Helen Leuthold; brothers Mark and Robert; and son, Michael.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Morningside Baptist Church (1115 Pelham Rd., Greenville, SC 29615), with visitation beginning at 2:00 PM.
