Paul Richard Bancroft was born in Cullman, Alabama on Feb. 18, 1927, to Frank Hammond Bancroft and Cora Marie Glenn Bancroft.
He was first married to Doris Loraine Glenn Bancroft in 1949 and widowed in 1988. He married Elfriede Mittelbach on June 3, 1989, and was widowed in 1997.
He is survived by his sister-in-law, June Bancroft, and niece, Carol. He was predeceased by his brother, Warren Bancroft.
He is survived by his stepchildren: Alexander Krstovic and wife, Rosie; Peter Krstovic; Miriam Bagwell and Michael Krstovic; his grandchildren: Vanessa Weber; Lauren Mabry and husband, Adam; Chelsea Compton and husband, Josh; Maggie Gray and husband, Casey; Nikki Pretorv and husband, Jovan; Jaylin and Jocelyn Brown; his great grandchildren: Kara Gray, London & Charlie Mabry.
Though Paul did not have children of his own, his God, Jehovah, provided him with a wealth of family. He was a man of faith motivated by his love of Jehovah and moved forward in life with that love as his priority. He found great joy in teaching and mentoring others in developing their spiritual maturity.
Paul Bancroft was a kind and loving man: those hearts he touched are forever changed, and he will be terribly missed.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 4:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 300 E. Belvue Road, Taylors, SC 29687.
