Born to the late Rev. Kennedy and Hazel Berry on May 1, 1936, he was a devoted member of Taylors First Baptist Church; retired from Watkins Motor Lines after decades of service and devotion to the transportation industry; a US Army Reserve veteran; and attended Furman University.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Patricia J Berry.
He is survived by his daughter, Patricia Shunk (Bob Borek) of Erie, Colorado; his son, Rick Berry (Cynthia), of Greenville; four grandchildren, Tiffoni Brown (Billy), Preston Shunk, Brittoni Duty (John), and Monica Shunk; seven great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Haile, Abigail & Will Brown and Christian, Hudson & Jordan Duty; as well as one great-great-grandson, Brooks Cook.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1901 Wade Hampton Blvd., Greenville, SC 29609.
