

Ruth was predeceased by her loving husband, Andrew James Pollard. A devoted mother and grandmother, she is survived by her four children: Christina Bradshaw, Patricia Bechtel, Andre Pollard, and Stephanie Walters; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Ruth's commitment to community service was exemplified throughout her life. She was a longtime member of Fourth Presbyterian Church in Greenville, SC, where she served as a Deacon and Elder. She was also a delegate to the Presbytery of the Piedmont and served on several committees.
Ruth found great joy spending summers with her family at Mountain Lake Colonies, creating lasting memories for generations. She was a board member and active in activities in the community.
Ruth touched the lives of countless young women through her dedicated work with the Girl Scouts. She ran day camps, served on summer camp committees, and held the position of President of the Old Ninety Six Girl Scout Council.
Her passion for service continued while a resident of the PCSC Foothills Community, where she served on the spiritual life committee.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on November 15th, 2025, at Foothills Communities Chapel, 205 Bud Nalley Blvd, Easley, SC.
