Born March 25th, 1937 in Lyman to A.B. & Elizabeth Bridwell, She was a devoted and loving mother. She worked in tobacco fields during the early years and in sewing halls later in life, all while raising her children. Jean was very proud of her family and was excited to become "Nanny" to her grandchildren. She loved the holidays and family get-togethers; any chance to spend time with her family was important to her. She took great joy in playing around or coloring with her great-grandchildren whenever possible.
A longtime member of New Life Baptist Church in Greer, formerly Camp Meeting Baptist Tabernacle she loved God and her church Family. Jean was a warm and loving soul, who touched all around her. She always trusted in the Lord and was the greatest example of Faith. She was always optimistic in life, especially as she overcame breast cancer and endured dialysis for ESRD. Her family will miss her unconditional love and unwavering faith. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family would like to express a special thanks to Barbara Kiser, Jean's oldest daughter and live-in caretaker for the past 6 years.
