

Tommy Edward Campbell, 79, of Greenville, South Carolina passed away on August 24, 2025. He and his wife, R. Darlene Campbell, were married in 1965 and had the privilege of celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary this year. Tommy served his country as a member of the Army starting in October 1967. He then started his own business, Sans Souci Fuel, which he ran for over 15 years before going on to work for the United States Post Office for 35 years.
Tommy worshipped at Woodside Church of God and enjoyed spending time on the front porch in his rocking chair. He loved nothing more than his family and would drop anything to help and be there for them. Oh, how he cherished his family, particularly his grands. The embrace and presence of his loved ones filled Tommy’s life with happiness.
In addition to his wife, Darlene, Tommy is survived by his children, Timothy Edward Campbell (Donna) and Karen Campbell McCarter (Todd); grandsons, Bailey Campbell (Holly), Cade McCarter, and Collin McCarter; great-grands, Rhett, Rynlee, and Thomas; and siblings, Pat Bishop, Jack Campbell and Sue Kinsey.
He was predeceased by his grandson, Hunter McCarter.
Services for Tommy will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville, SC 29609. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm, with a funeral service to follow in the chapel at 2:00 pm. Committal will be held immediately after in the park.
