Vivian is survived by her daughters Patricia Smith Tully, Pamela Simpson and husband David Simpson
as well as her grandchildren Jeffrey Smith (Pritee), Meredith Smith Brotherson (Brian), David Smith (Rachael), Tyler Simpson (Stacie), Lauren Simpson Good (Dave), Christopher Simpson (Jenny) and by 8 great grandchildren and a sister Cleo Smith. Vivian is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and her special friend like a daughter Mary Conquest.
She is predeceased by her parents Charlie J. Wiggins and Mary Edwin Gaskins Wiggins, her husband Lt. Rudolph Melvin Dempsey formerly of the SC Highway Patrol and 9 brothers and sisters.

A graveside service for Vivian will be held Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at 1:00 PM in the Remembrance Chapel at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville, SC 29609.
