Walter, I have not known you for very long but it seems like I have known you for a very long time.  When I met you I was inspired by your most caring and wonderful friendship.  You were such a wonderful person and you could not help but love you. You will be missed and in my heart always.

Although I hadn't seen Walt for years,I did think of him often.He did many kind things for me through my apprenticeship and beyond.To me he was a true gentleman and friend.My wife and I would like to express our sincere sympathy to Joan and family for your loss.He was a good man and will be missed.

We have been blessed by knowing Walter.
He was a very caring man.   There was nothing that he could not do.
Last Thursday it was very hot and I went out with a glass of tea and told him it would be best  for him to get out of the heat ( he answered yes mama), he laughed and keep moving.
Our six grandchildren loved Mr.Walter.
Joan,Kenneth,Kathryn and Rebecca, remember the good times.
Doc and I will always be thankful for your family.
We loved and will miss Walter always.

The Spinelli Family extends their deepest condolences to the Pawlus Family.  You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

It was a terrible shock to hear of Mr. Pawlus's untimely passing. Although a mere mortal, Mr. Pawlus seemed invicible to me. In the eight years that Rebecca and I have been close friends, stories of her father's handy-man adventures and Mr. Fix-It expertise were always a source of amazement! What an incredible and gifted man! 

I didn't have the pleasure of knowing Mr. Pawlus very well, but I certainly see his good nature and loving ways in the eyes of his children --- with whom his beautiful spirit will live on forever. I'm so very sorry...

 In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it's the memories as children on Diamond Hill Road  that are the most precious.

Walt embodied the words “good neighbor”.  For 16 years, he has always been there for us with everything from a friendly good morning to letting us borrow just the right tool.  
“Mr. Walt”, as our girls call him, was one of the most generous, kindest, friendliest, caring people we have ever known.   He has been a nearly daily presence in our lives and will be missed tremendously.  
Walt was a very special friend to Shawn.  If you spent any time with Shawn…you know of Walt.  He tells everyone about the greatest neighbor in the world…his “Go To Guy”.  Walt was always so generous with his time, his energy, his tools and his wisdom from experience.  
His never-ending help touched us, our neighborhood, the church and far beyond.  Every pet owner around has a custom made, Pawlus original, pooper scooper!  He gave, and he helped, and he shared, and he went out of his way for everyone…all with a smile, a whistle and a chuckle.  
Walt was amazing.  He never let anything stop him.  He lived until he died.   When Walt moved in to Heaven, someone got the very best next-door neighbor the world had to offer.  
So, thank you, dear Pawlus family, for sharing your wonderful husband and father with us.  We will miss him so much.

I am so sorry to hear about Walt. He has been so good to me through the last years. You have my prayers as you go through this time. Every time I would see Walt in his truck, I would blow my horn and wave. He would just laugh and wave back to me.  Again, I am very sorry. He will be missed.

Rebecca and family. I am so sorry for your lose. I know it is difficult, but remember the happy times, that is what he would have wanted. He is no longer on this earth but his spirit lives in each of you and always will as long as you have memories.
