Anthea Demas daughter of Anita Papalexis Demas and the late John Demas passed away peacefully of cancer at the Nathaniel Witherell Short Term Rehab and Nursing Center on December 15, 2010. She was 60. Born in New York City on February 1, 1950 Anthea graduated from Greenwich High School in 1968. She briefly attended New York University. She is survived by her brother Dr. Christopher P. Demas and his wife Anne; her nephew Alex; her niece Elizabeth; her uncles Gregory Papalexis and Helen; and Tom Demas; her aunt Mary and Charles Albanis and several cousins. Calling hours will be held at the Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home 31 Arch St Greenwich on Friday from 4 to 7 PM. A funeral service will be held at the Round Hill Community Church 395 Round Hill Road, Greenwich, CT 06831 on Monday December 20, 2010 at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Putnam Cemetery, Greenwich, Connecticut. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Humane Society 455 Post Road East Westport, CT 06880
