Born on August 29, 1938, in Ecuador to parents named Federico Lorenty and Rosalina Gonzalez, she was 84 years old when she left this world surrounded by those who loved her most. Belsy is the shining example to us all in living her life on behalf of others.
As most remember her, she was always smiling, always laughing, and most importantly always loving. A truly selfless soul, Belsy loved to cook for her family and always made sure everyone was happy and comfortable in her presence. Her laughter was enough to brighten any room she was in. Belsy was a collector of souvenir spoons, and adored her children and her dogs.
She is survived by her sons, Luis, Diego, and Matias, of Greenwich, as well as her daughters Adriana, Carolina and Rosa Isabel. Her siblings are Gloria, Maria Isabelle, Bella, Victoria, Fernando, and Marcela Lorenty.
On Thursday, April 20 there will be a visitation at Leo P. Gallagher and Son Funeral Home, 31 Arch Street, Greenwich, from 5-7pm, followed by a mass at St. Michael the Archangel, 469 North Street, Greenwich on Friday, April 21 at 11am.
