

Phyllis H. Palmer passed away February 1, 2011 at the age of 85. Mrs. Palmer was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School in Stamford and Catherine Gibbs Secretarial School. She was a student at Greenwich Hospital Cadet Nurse Corps during WWII and later worked as a legal secretary for the law office of Judge Brinkerhoff for many years. Mrs. Palmer was a member of the Old Greenwich Lions Club, Innis Arden Golf Club where she served as Lady Day Chairman and successfully obtained a membership in the Hole in One Club. She also enjoyed playing bridge, loved dancing, enjoyed sailing and was a member of Greenwich Cove Racing Association. She also enjoyed her time teaching art at Nathaniel Witherell. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Paul Palmer of Riverside, two sons Tim and Richard Palmer of Riverside, two grandchildren Robert and Timothy Palmer. In addition she is also survived by one brother Bruce Huested of New York. A memorial service will be held Friday February 11, 2011 at 11 A.M. at the First Congregational Church of Old Greenwich, 108 Sound Beach Avenue Greenwich.
