

Richard G. Conklin Esq. of Greenwich, CT died peacefully on October 19, 2010 at Greenwich Hospital. He was 87 years old. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on May 20, 1923 to the late Richard and Dorothy Conklin.
Mr. Conklin graduated Cum Laude from St. John’s University, school of law and commerce in Queens, N.Y. During WW II Richard served in the United States Navy for seven years.
Richard was a retired tax attorney and CPA from Textron Inc of RI and enjoyed retirement being with his wife, his home and many friends. Richard was a loving, caring and dedicated husband.
For 37 years he dedicated his life to the growing problem of alcohol and drugs and was instrumental in helping many people.
He will be sorely missed for his kindness and love and caring. His tender smile and Irish wit were infectious.
He was predeceased by his brother Robert Conklin and sister Dorothy Mayernik
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Antoinette Traina Conklin of Greenwich, two sisters Ruth Martin of Queens, NY; and Eleanor Hartill of Fl; one brother John Conklin of Garden City, NY and numerous nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held at the Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home 31 Arch St. Greenwich on Friday October 22, 2010 from 4 to 8 PM.
A mass of Christian burial will take place at St. Timothy’s Chapel North Street on Saturday October 23, 2010 at 10 AM. Entombment will follow at Putnam Cemetery.
