William J. Tiedemann

William John Tiedemann, 73 died on Sunday October 9, 2011 from complications of Alzheimers. Bill was born on November 19, 1937 to the late William F. and Mary (Kallaher) Tiedemann in Ridgewood NY. After working his way through college, law school, and graduate law, Bill spent his entire career as a tax attorney at Arthur Andersen & Co. where he became partner and in addition to working with clients, he managed the Tax Department for a number of years. He retired at age 56. He loved music, especially Frank Sinatra, enjoyed and suffered golf, and loved to ski. Bill's greatest strength though was as a loving family man - He was a wonderful husband and partner, loving father, adoring grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a role model to all. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Roni. In addition he is survived by two daughters Jeanne Korman and Kristin Squier, 7 grandchildren: Ashley, Joshua, Matthew, Nicholas, Shannon, Aaron, Michaela, and one great-granddaughter, Reagan. He is also survived by two sisters, Mary Pangiarella and her husband Anthony and Nancy Tiedemann, as well as several nieces. Anyone who was blessed enough to have known him is better for it. He will be lovingly missed by all.
