

Anna Margaret “Mickey” Chapman, 81 of Mansfield passed into Heaven on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 in Greenwood. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mansfield. She retired from the Western Arkansas Counseling and Guidance Center in 2000, where she had the pleasure of helping many people in Scout County from 1991 – 2000. She also proudly served on the board from 1980 – 1991. Mickey was honored to serve her hometown of Mansfield, Arkansas for 19 years. She first served as City Recorder from 1971 – 1975, City Council Member from 1976 – 1978 and finally as Mayor from 1978 – 1990.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Floyd Chapman; four children, Michael Chapman, Steven Chapman, Laura and Jerry Carter and Chuck and Jan Chapman; eight grandchildren, Jason, Calvin and Sara, Eric, Michael and Angie, Bryan, Jason and Amy, Christy and Jason and Julie Chapman; six great grandchildren, Zachary, Grace and Ryan, Lexi, Blaire, Liberty and Lakyn; one great great granddaughter, Ember; one brother, Jack Livingston; three sisters-in-law, Ann Livingston, Bobbie Livingston and Lee Livingston; along with many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Friday, April 18, 2014 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, south of Abbott off of Hwy. 71. Viewing will be Thursday from 1 – 6 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 4 – 6 p.m.
