Anne Mae King, age 88, of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Saturday, June 9, 2018. She was born September 4, 1929 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Walter and Erna (Wische) Wienert. Anne was preceded in death by her husband, William Alton King; a sister; Lois Wienert and her parents.
Anne had many passions in her life and raising her family was at the top of the list. She was a wonderful homemaker and was married for 62 years. During those years she helped her husband build seven of their homes and they also built a home for each of their children. She was an avid bowler and loved to trout fish in Eureka Springs and Branson. She also liked to crochet. Anne also worked at McKesson for 13 years, running a forklift before moving into an office position.
Anne is survived by her children, William (Cindy) King of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Elizabeth (Thomas) Bilyeu of Neodesha, Kansas; her sisters, Joan Mathis and Carol Baughman; her brothers, Gilbert Wienert and Robert Wienert and Anne also leaves four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Friday, June 15 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Dawson Cemetery in Milltown. Visitation will be Thursday from 6 - 8 p.m. at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home in Harrison.
Honorary pallbearers are Gary Wienert, Alton Ray Bilyeu, Matthew Ray Bilyeu, Mandy Brungardt and William Robert King.
