Benny Caperton, 59, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away Monday, December 29, 2025 in Barling. He was born July 24, 1966 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Floyd Dean and Margie Lee (Warren) Caperton. Benny was a 1984 graduate of Greenwood High School and was previously employed at BOST.
He is survived by his brother, Steve Caperton and wife, Kathy; one sister, Kathy Meadows and husband, Terry; a sister-in-law, Marisol Caperton and seven nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Andrew Caperton.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Monday, January 5 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with inurnment to follow at Cross Cemetery in Greenwood. Visitation with the family will begin at 1 p.m. on Monday before the service.
