It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, Betty Ruth Reano, 86, of Jenny Lind, Arkansas. She passed peacefully in the arms of the angels early Monday morning, February 3, 2025 in her home, as she wished. She was born January 4, 1939 in Greenwood, Arkansas to Cecil Cox and Louise Helen (Jameson) Cox. She was a retired LPN and member of Jenny Lind Church of Christ.
She is survived by three sons, Paul and wife, Terri, Bobby and wife, Kelly and Jimmy and wife, Janie; one brother, Jerry “Bucky” Cox; three sisters, Patsy Jones, Doris DeGolier and Glenda Wallace; five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, many loving nieces, nephews and other family members.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Joe Reano; her parents, Cecil Cox and Louise Helen Cox; stepmother, Anna Cox; two brothers, Bobby Cox and Jack Harris and two sisters, Mary Ann Pitts and Charicie McEntyre.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Thursday, February 6 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Old Jenny Lind Cemetery. Viewing will be Wednesday from 1 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 5 – 7 p.m.
