

Christine Mary Joan Loudermilk, 89, died peacefully at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas on Sept. 3, 2013. She and her husband, Naolen Loudermilk, Jr. had made their home in Greenwood, AR for 40 years; for the past four years they have
resided in Sheridan, AR. Christine was born in Ferndale, Michigan on May 9, 1924. She married the love of her life, Naolen, on Sept. 5, 1943. They were just 2 days shy of celebrating 70 years of marriage. Christine was primarily a mother and homemaker however she also worked in a Naval Shipyard in WWII and briefly as a waitress in Tucson, AZ and Lompoc, CA. She was an active volunteer with many service organizations within the community to include serving as a Fair Judge in surrounding counties. She was also an active EHC member for over 17 years and was honored once as the Sebastian County Extension Homemaker of the year. No one was ever hungry after leaving the Loudermilk house. She was also an active 40 year member of St. Leo’s Catholic Church in Hartford, AR.
Christine is survived by her husband Naolen Loudermilk, Jr. of Sheridan, Arkansas and her five children, Kenneth Loudermilk and wife Ann of Georgetown, Texas; Kathy Loudermilk of Bentonville, Arkansas; Dawn Meredith and husband Bud of Booneville, Arkansas; Michelle Smith and husband Gary of Springdale, Arkansas and Teresa Goins and husband Andy of Sheridan, Arkansas. Grandchildren include Jason Loudermilk of Atlanta, GA; Rachel Loudermilk of Atlanta, GA; Chris Loudermilk of Waco, TX; Michael Tumbiolo of Sacramento, CA; Angie Doyle of Santa Maria, CA; Tina Tumbiolo of Santa Maria, CA; Barbara Berardi of Bentonville, AR; Brenda Yonnes of Bossier City, LA; Brad Woolever of Gilbert, AZ; Ryan Smith of Russellville, AR; Ross Smith of Rogers, AR; Rebecca Smith of Springdale, AR; Heath Goins of Redfield, AR, Chad Goins of Bluffton, NC. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren - Emery Smith, Brandon Yonnes, Taylor Yonnes, Jada Woolever, Skylar Goins, Zander Goins, Cali Doyle, Riley Doyle, Peyton Tumbiolo and Logan Tumbiolo. She also leaves behind a brother, Norman Primeau of Ft. Myers Beach, Florida.
A Family Rosary will begin at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday, September 5th at the McConnell Funeral Home in Greenwood, Arkansas with visitation following from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A service celebrating her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 6, 2013 at the McConnell Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Valley View Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mrs. Loudermilk’s grandsons Brad Woolever, Chris Loudermilk, Heath Goins, Chad Goins, Ross Smith, Ryan Smith, Travis Yonnes and great grandson Brandon Yonnes.
