I will always remember the day you came into our home when you were 1 year old not knowing that you would become my brother I will always remember you like that funny noble little boy you will be missed till we meet once again I know you are in heaven by your lela y lelo. My condolenses go out to his mother and father and to the whole family.

I had the Honor of being Pinas squad leader during Annual Training. He was quiet at first but opened up fast. He served as my gunner on many mock missions and loved every second of it. He will be greatly missed. 

When I first came to the unit he was one of the first I met. At the time we was getting ready for annual training(AT). Even though I met a lot of other soldiers him and I always seemed to stick together. In the field or in the barracks. He was my gunner and I was his driver. Many nights of that AT it was just him and I in the truck. Long talks about anything and everything under them stars. We sure got close during that time. Gonna miss ya bro. 

Chris, we never really had the chance to really get to know each other like I would have wanted...I was pretty close to your other brothers and sisters and the rest of our cousins...BUT, that definitely does not mean I love you any less!!! I am proud to see the way you your life was heading and some of the obstacles you have over came...I know a lot of things weren't easy...but I am proud of you and until we meet again...Rest in Paradise cousin!!! I love you

I'll never forget Chris. He and I were in marching band together in Riverside, CA and he kind of took me under his wing when I first started. He showed me the ropes, and we would practice and listen to music and play video games together even after high school. Every time I listen to Rascall Flats it makes me think of him. We would play Terraria and Destiny online sometimes, he was a great man. He was a good friend.  I'll miss him dearly. 

Such a beautiful life, cut short in tragedy.  My deepest sympathy and sorrow for this loss of this young man.  May the good Lord bless you with the wonderful memories you shared with him. God Bless.

SPC Ryan was truly a special person. He was a dedicate Soldier and a true member of the Charlie Battery family. We have lost not only a service member but a brother in arms. Praying for peace for the family. I am proud to have had him in my unit. He made us a better unit.

Mr. Pina is survived by his parents, Darrell and Penney Trantham of Mansfield; one brother, Matthew Barrios of Fort Smith; three sisters, Ashley Hunt of Bakersfield, CA, Stefanie Barber of Mansfield and Kaley Trantham of the home and his maternal grandparents, Albert Emory Barber, Jr. of Long Beach, CA and Donna Lee Barber of Boise, ID.
