

David Lee Johnson, 76, of Greenwood, entered in his rest on Friday the 13th of April, 2012. He was born September 13, 1935 in Parks, Arkansas to Chester and Millie Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, J.W. and a sister Katie. Dave grew up in Eureka, California, moved to Phoenix and later to Scottsdale, Arizona. He was a master mechanic due to training in the National Guard and he received his degree in Accounting at ASU. He retired from SRP in Arizona and moved to Greenwood in 1999. He was a dedicated Gideon, a wonderful husband, father and friend.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth of the home; one son, Erick Johnson of Mesa, AZ and one step-daughter, Laura Cooling and her husband, Randy of Dexter, MI.
Services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 17th at First Baptist Church in Greenwood with burial at a later time under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home in Greenwood. Viewing will be Monday, April 16th from 1-8 PM at the funeral home where family will visit with friends from 6-8 PM.
Pallbearers will be members of The Greenwood Camp of the Gideon’s International.
