David E. Russell, 73, of Greenwood, Arkansas passed away Monday, May 27, 2024 in a Fort Smith hospital. He was born October 12, 1950 in Rock Springs, Wyoming to William and Beverly Russell. He was retired from SSI and U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his wife, Janet Russell; one son, James Russell of Greenwood; one daughter, Dawn Adkins and husband, Shad of Greenwood; two brothers, Dale Russell and wife, Diane of Athens, TN and Billy Russell and wife, Joyce of West Chicago, IL; one sister, Theresa Russell and Jay Craine of Fort Smith; five grandchildren, Guy Russell, Aniken Lewis, Trinity Dodson, Jaydon Adkins and Faith VanKooten and one great grandchild, Becklee Dodson.

A family hosted celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Ashes will be interned at White Bluff Cemetery. Cremation is under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.
