Diane Hopper

Mary Diane Hopper, 69, of Mansfield, Arkansas went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 24, 2017. She was born December 26, 1947, in Fort Smith, to Paul and Edith Faye (Bryan) Russell. She married Eddie Hopper on September 3, 1977, and they would have celebrated their 40th anniversary this year. Diane was a homemaker and a member of Greenwood First Baptist Church.

Diane was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who loved nothing more than taking care of those around her. She was loved by everyone who knew her and would light up the room with just her smile. Above all, Diane loved and served Jesus and her greatest wish was for all members of her family to know and serve him, too.

Diane is preceded in death by her parents, as well as her brothers, Berkley Russell and Jerry Russell.

Diane is survived by her husband, Eddie; three sons, Aaron Hopper and wife, Caroline of Central City, Tyler Hopper and wife, Dru of Houston, TX and Jamie Hopper of Fort Smith; one daughter, Faith Short and husband, Brett of Greenwood; two brothers, Don Russell and wife, Beth of York, AL and Doug Russell and wife, Shirley of Fort Smith; one sister, Paula Ward of Greenwood and five grandchildren, Peyton, Abby, Jordan, Riah Belle and Salem.
