

Frances Laura Johnson, 93, passed away peacefully at her home in Greenwood, Arkansas, Sunday, June 3, 2012. Frances was born to Emerson and Marguerite Marie Hamblin Clark on March 8, 1919 in the Jenny Lind community. She was retired from Planter’s Peanuts in Fort Smith and in retirement worked for Children’s Hospital in Little Rock creating caps and quilts.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at the Greenwood Church of Christ with Dennis Gage officiating. Interment will be at Liberty Cemetery under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Visitaton will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Frances married Ralph L. Johnson on April 14, 1939 in Fort Smith. He passed away on February 2, 1968. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Billie Grosh and Ann Houston; a brother, Emerson H. Clark; and two great grandchildren.
Survivors include three daughters and one son: Ramona Harder (Henry) of Tulsa, OK, Martha O’Neal (Digger) of Huntington, AR, Laura Hendrix (Rick) of Greenwood, and Les Johnson (Linda) of Beebe, AR; twelve grandchildren, Karen Dickinson, Monica Gibbons, Rev. Kenneth Harder, Stephen Harder, David Harder, Melanie Griffis, Lance Richardson, Curtis Richardson, Cody Johnson, Adam Johnson, Travis Davis, and Brandon Davis; twenty-four great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be Cleve Linam, Bruce Linam, Bobby Johnson, Mac Johnson, Jon Johnson, Raymond Beshears, Damon Reed, Bob Ashley, and Clarence LeFleur.
