Gary W. Ford

Gary W. Ford, 45, of Hartford, AR passed away Friday, July 6, 2012 in a Fort Smith hospital. He was born September 17, 1966 in Fort Smith. He is preceded in death by his father, Wayne Ford. Gary was a member of a home fellowship, a member and president of the Hartford School Board, a member of the Hartford Athletic Booster Club, a lifelong volunteer in the Hartford School’s athletic program, and an Eagle Scout.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon D. (Martin) Ford; a son, Garett and a daughter, Lauren Ford, all of the home; his mother, Patty Thornburg and husband, Vernie, of Spiro, OK; a sister, Melissa Shackelford and husband, Cody, and nephew, Skye, of Fort Smith and a number of loved ones and friends.

A Celebration of Life memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, July 14, 2012 in the Hartford School Gymnasium. Casual dress is encouraged. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.
