He was born August 4, 1928, in Lakewood, NJ, the youngest son of the late Fred and Eugene Ottmer.
Captain Ottmer proudly served his country during World War II and the Korean War. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and Navy. He was also dedicated to his career as Merchant Marine Captain.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife Blanche Ottmer.
A graveside service with military honors will be 11 a.m., Tuesday April 28 at Fort Smith National Cemetery.
