Iris Belle Howard

Iris Belle Howard, 72, of Pocola, Oklahoma passed away Saturday, August 20, 2022 in Spiro. Iris was of strong Christian faith, retired from Riverside Furniture and supported her husband in his business, Ed Howard Construction.

She is survived by two sons, Shawn Howard of Pocola and Heath Howard and wife, Jennifer of Pocola; one brother, Mitchell Strunk and wife, Dottie of Midland; four grandchildren, Garrett Howard and wife, Skyler of Pocola, Amaica Howard of Fort Smith, Jalen Little and Easton Little, both of Pocola and two great grandchildren, Gracie Howard and Rhett Howard. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Edward Howard.

Graveside service will be 10 a.m., Thursday, August 25 at Macedonia Cemetery in Pocola under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Viewing will be Wednesday from 2 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 6 – 8 p.m.

Honorary pallbearers will be Garrett Howard, Jalen Little, Easton Little, Anthony Freeman, William Morris and Allan Wright.
