Jo Ellen Jones

Jo Ellen Jones, known by many as “Aunt Jo”, 65, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, August 5, 2012 in a Fort Smith hospital. She was a homemaker and a loving Christian mother and wife. She was a charter member of Arkoma Free Will Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Harold of the home; two daughters, Tearany Carlile and Maddie Carlile both of the home; one brother, Calvin Lovett and his wife, Charlene of Pocola, OK; two sisters, Bobbie Jean Crosswell of Arkoma, OK and Connie Chitwood and her husband, Randall of Pocola, OK; mother and father-in-law, Lorene and Paul Jones of Fort Smith, AR; a sister-in-law, Brenda Dros and her husband, John of Rye Hill; several nieces and nephews and two great great nephews.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, August 8 at Arkoma Free Will Baptist Church with burial at Green Hill Cemetery in Cameron, OK under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home in Greenwood. Viewing will be Tuesday from 1 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 5 – 7 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Mark Stevens, Mark McQuire, Lonnie Snow, Jerry Snow, Jerry Carlile and Dean Winder. Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Carlile, Steve Chronister and John Dros.
