Mary Margarette McDaniel

Mary Margarette McDaniel, 94, of Greenwood, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2024 in Fort Smith. She was born March 13, 1929 in Greenwood, Arkansas to Pat and Inez (Carter) Graham. She worked at the Diner Bell and the Senior Citizen’s Center; she was a member of the Greenwood First Baptist Church and past member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by one son, Kenneth McDaniel of Greenwood; one daughter, Barbara McDaniel of Greenwood; one sister, Ann Williams of Greenwood; three grandchildren, Jeff Chastain and wife, Shari, Miranda Palmer and husband, Mark and Ryan McDaniel; five great grandchildren, Justin Chastain, Hunter Chastain and wife, Paige, James Palmer, Marla Plaster and husband, Mike and Jessica Tabor and husband, Matt; three great great grandchildren, Luke Palmer, Fia Plaster and Clayton Palmer and one great great grandchild, Henry Plaster on the way and her sister-in-law, Vita Graham. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Loyd Carl McDaniel; a brother, Pat Graham; grandson, Christopher McDaniel and daughter-in-law, Shirley McDaniel.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Friday, February 23 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Liberty Cemetery. Viewing will be Thursday, from 1 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 5 – 7 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Mark Williams, Lance Williams, Bradley Williams, Enoch Hein, Ryan McDaniel, Jeff Chastain and Hunter Chastain.
