Norma Rae Smith

Norma Rae Smith, 93, of Springdale, AR, formerly of Greenwood, AR, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 9, 2015 from a Springdale Nursing Home. She was born on April 11, 1921 in Charleston, AR to the late Mr. and Mrs. Jonathan Jessie Foreman.

Norma was a member of the First Baptist Church, member of the Order of the Eastern Star #197, a Cub Scout leader, and a Girl Scout leader. She was a homemaker and an excellent cook.

Norma was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Bernard L. Smith, two sisters and seven brothers. She is survived by her son, Gary Smith and his wife Michelle, of Springdale, AR, her daughter, Nancy Hobbs an her husband Mark, of Rudy, AR, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood, AR on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at 11 am with interment at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, AR. Viewing will be Monday from 1-8 pm at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 5-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to a charity of your choice.
