Shirley Gillis

Shirley Gillis, 65 of Mansfield, Arkansas went to be with our Lord on Friday, June 14, 2013. While our hearts are heavy and saddened we are rejoicing that she is now in Heaven. Shirley was a homemaker, wife, mother, sister, aunt and a friend to everyone she knew.

She is survived by her husband Hollis Gillis; two sons, Michael & Donna Gillis and Mark & Colleen Gillis all of Mansfield; two daughters, Sherri & Ben Brand of Huntington and Sheila & Titus Harter of Neosho, MO; eleven grandchildren, Chantee & Nathaniel Jackson, Micail, Matt, Weston and Ryan Gillis, Josh and Sarah Hattabaugh, Nicole and Samantha Brand, Alex and Jaden Harter; two great-grandchildren, Cole and Paislee Jackson; eight brothers, Buddy, Ronnie and Randy Black, Chris, Kevin, Tracey, Gail and Freddie Clopton and two sisters, Carolyn Smith and Beverly Bonds. She is preceded in death by her parents, William Black, Alvie and Marie Clopton and two sisters, Patsy Bucker and Kaye Lynne Michael.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at James Fork Baptist Church with burial at Coop Prairie Cemetery in Mansfield under the direction of McConnell Funera Home of Greenwood. Viewing will be Monday from 1 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 6 - 8 p.m.
