Even though I was only three as I am ten almost eleven now  I still truly miss my Grandma Anne. Whenever I see licorice I remember the times when she would buy chopped-up licorice just for me and my sister Ava.  Even though it has been almost 8 years since she died I still remember the best moments with her like it was yesterday. I still do dearly miss her but instead of mourning her death, I celebrate the time I had with her.  I love you, Grandma, I hope you and bear are having a nice time in heaven and with the lord.

a neighbor, a friend, 
a sister, a daughter, a wife,

a woman who loves her family
Putting a Hummer in the driveway
Walking her granddaughters in the park
Beaming at Christmas programs,
graduations & soccer games
Making beach trips & participating
in Ginger bread construction
Making Christmas cookies 
and memories that fill us with joy
She is a Lover of Dogs 
that begin with B
Bear, so rightly named 
and loved by Anne
Buster, also rightly named 
and loved by Anne
Friendly to her neighbors, 
she embraced people
even though she didn't live 
a Norman Rockwell life
There were shouts and misunderstandings,
fumbles & fouls, but in the midst 
of a very authentic life
she was a quiet woman 
of faith I saw it in her prayers 
for my parents and how faithfully
she inquired of their well being
and offering my mom a large print
book that she thought she might enjoy,
simple but heartfelt, 
she touched my life too
And now she dances exuberantly
in His Love
Her questions stilled, her doubts gone
she is now a warrior for her family
We would've kept her with us longer, 
and don't understand why she had to leave, 
but Thru His eyes we shall see how good the timing to bring his daughter home She won't forget her siblings, 
her husband, her children or grandchildren she will embrace them 
in the arms 
of her Lord's loving assurance
Tho they still have mountains
to climb they shall all
come back
together
safe
and 
be whole
in that shiny day
We all shall, but for now
we seek comfort and peace in the knowing of a sister,
a wife, a mother, a grandmother, 
a friend, a neighbor
and a woman who loves her family

Wronda and I are friends, and I extend my love and sympathy to you and to your father, Gary, and to your sister and brother, Sabra and Cliff and their families.  On this day of remembering your mother, may we thank God for placing her in our lives.  I met Anne several times over the years, and I remember her as a bright and vivacious spirit, warm and caring of the people around her.  May the Lord welcome her home and give her family and friends peace and solace in her absence.

I am so very sorry for the loss of your wife, awesome grandma and mom. Auntie Anne had a good heart and a contagious laugh. Her red hair fit her personality and you never had to guess what she was thinking. I will miss you, auntie. You, are all, in my thoughts and prayers as you go through this very difficult time. May God wrap his arms around you and give you strength for the ups and downs. God Bless each and every one of you!

Several years ago, in early Spring I was out in the yard inspecting my flower garden.  My garden is built on the English Cottage style which means that there are as many plants out there as I can stuff in and while I enjoy gardens where the gardener has exhibited restraint, I don't find that style as fun as the exuberant display my garden puts out.  But I do know what I planted and where it comes up, and that particular Spring day I saw the tiniest little flower bobbing its head near a border edge and I had no idea what it was.  I went inside and grabbed a book to identify it and learned it was a Frittilaria, which comes from a bulb, so it couldn't be a volunteer left by a bird flying by.  I called Mom and told her about the mysterious appearance of the Frittilaria and she told me that she had planted it the previous Fall, as a surprise for me.  They make me smile every Spring when they pop their little heads out of the ground.
It's Fall now and the trees are displaying the most amazing colors.  I remember learning that the leaves are green in the because of the chlorophyll the leaves produce to nourish the tree.  When the season ends the work of the leaves is over, they stop producing chlorophyll and turn the color they are under the green.  I've always found it fascinating that when the work stops and it's time to release their hold on life and literally let go, that they show their true colors.  The oak turns a deep brown, the maple a fiery red and orange, the aspens glow with yellows.  I imagine that this is at least partially true for us too – our lives are filled with work and events that produce camouflage so our true image is distorted or completely masked.  I look forward to Heaven when I'll see everyone as they were created to be – glowing with Glory.  I think about how Mom is there now and is resplendent in her true colors.  I'm sure she's also sneaking little surprises into the gardens there and I can't wait to see them with her.  I miss her so much.

Anne was a wonderful and beautiful person inside an out. Her smile and laugh was infectious. The pictures on the slide show really depict her personality. They made me smile. Anne, we will miss you but we know you are in a better place looking over your family from heaven with that beautiful smile of yours.

Auntie Anne will truly be missed. She had such a beautiful spirit and fiery personality...so fun to be around!! We always looked forward to the family reunions and get togethers so we could visit and reminisce!! Heaven has gained a remarkable angel!

I love the pictures.  They are so sweet and bring tears to my eyes.  Anne loved her family and I am so grateful that I was part of that.  I will miss her fire.

It broke my heart to lose my sister Anne.  A solace for me is that Anne is in Heaven being looked after by our Mom.  I also find solace in the three wonderful kids and grandkids Anne left behind.  I will miss Anne forever.  So until we meet again Anne, I love you.  Debby

Anne was the sweetest most wonderful woman, so much fun, so full of life and always happy. I will always remember our telephone conversations about her grandchildren, and the funny things they did. Anne and her family will always be in our thoughts and prayers.
