

Barbara Jean Forth, age 71, of Gresham, Oregon, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2025. She was born on November 14, 1953 in Grants Pass, Oregon to Gordon and Marian Burns. She attended Grants Pass High School and served as a majorette in the marching band, graduating in 1971. She began working as a bank teller at Evergreen Federal shortly after high school, and continued in that career when she moved to the Portland area, working at Far West Bank, US Bank, HomeStreet Bank and On Point Credit Union until her retirement in 2019.
Barbara married Charles Forth on February 18, 1989 and together they shared a love of travel to tropical destinations. She was a vibrant soul and cherished her time with family and friends. She embarked on frequent travels, savoring delicious cuisines and creating unforgettable experiences. Life was a treasure to her; a time to relish fun and forge cherished memories. She was an incredible grammy and would drop everything to spend time with her grandchildren. Barbara was very giving and willing to do anything for her friends and family. She made many lifelong friends over the years, and it's hard to imagine navigating the world without her presence, but her zest for life will continue to inspire those she cared about as they reminisce about their time together.
Barbara is survived by her husband Charles Forth of Gresham; son's Ryan Taylor (Kara) of Gladstone; Scott Taylor (Cheryl) of Tigard; brother Jim Burns (Carol) of Dayton, NV; and grandson's Jordan Taylor and Grayson Taylor.
A Celebration of Barbara’s life will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, April 13, 2025 at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home, 520 W. Powell Blvd. in Gresham, Oregon. The service will also be livestreamed at www.batemancarrollfunerals.com for those not able to attend in person.
