I do believe she thought Neil Diamond just miss pronounced her name.
It was Care oh Lyn, Neil.
He was her favorite, so why should she not believe, she was his as well.
Born in the middle of WW2 to teenage parents, Carolyn was incredibly smart, possessed undeniable energy and tenacity. No matter what life threw at her, in her heart she was Daddy’s girl and that reassurance sustained her in the worst of times. Marriage was not always easy, but she faithfully endured for over 50 years. She was preceded in death by Baby Boy Martin who passed shortly after birth, her husband Jack, and a few years later her daughter Lesley. Nothing was ever easy for Carol but that did not stop her. She was a fighter for life and a lover of family and friends.
She found love again with John from high school and shared a short but full "time of joy" before he too passed. For that, we who love her are grateful.
Carol lives on in her grandchildren, Jacklyn, and J.R, her great grandchildren, Norah and “the Baby” she so wanted to see born next month. She lives in the hearts of the siblings who loved her dearly, Lynda, Dan, Joe and Kathy, and the friends she easily made.
It can be a challenging to understand some people. That was certainly true with Carol. She had her reasons for the things she wanted and sometimes the “frustrating” things she did. For we siblings who remain, what matters most are those moments she loved us all like a big sister should. We love you, Sweet Carolyn,
Bom, Bom, Bom.
