

Chuck was born on April 6, 1931 in Myrtle Point, Oregon and he was the son of Lowell and Elise (Cutler) Rackleff. The family later moved to Klamath Falls, Oregon where he was raised and graduated from Sacred Heart Academy. After graduation, he enlisted in the Navy and served four years in the Korean War. After his discharge he returned to Klamath
Falls where he married his wife, Karla Leithead on June 9, 1956.
Chuck spent 30 years in the banking business living throughout Oregon. He retired in 1996 from First Interstate Bank, now Wells Fargo. After his retirement he enjoyed volunteering at Zarephath Ministries and St. Luke Episcopal Church.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Karla of Gresham, his daughter, Kathryn Rackleff of Louisville, Colorado, his son, Daniel Rackleff of Portland, his twin brother Edward Rackleff of Olympia, WA and his grandsons, Ryan and Jack of Lewisville, Colorado.
Chuck was a loving husband and father. He was a caring man of strong integrity and was blessed with a wonderful sense of humor. He will be deeply missed.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at St. Luke Episcopal Church, 120 SW Towle Avenue, Gresham, OR. In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Chuck to the St. Luke Episcopal Church’s Labyrinth Fund. Bateman Carroll Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
