Charlotte Catherine Long, 96 of Happy Valley OR, passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2016. She was born on August 26, 1919 in Portland, Oregon to Donald and Charlotte MacDonald and Graduated from Franklin High School. Charlotte married Donald Bernard Long on September 20, 1940 in Portland, Oregon. Charlotte was a wonderful mother, grandmother and homemaker despite her challenged vision. She was the kindest person you could ever meet.
Charlotte is survived by her son Terry Long (Hanna) of Happy Valley OR; daughter Michele Wilkinson (Gene) of Gresham OR; brother Dr. Don MacDonald (Sally) of Sacramento CA; niece Diana Godfrey (Dick) of Welches OR; grandchildren Trevor Long, Jennifer Craig (Jeromy), Heather Wilkinson (Josh) and Christopher Wilkinson and great grandchildren Zane Long, Carson Craig and Austin Craig. Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband Donald Long in 1994 and her sister Lucille Hender.
Private Family Services at Willamette National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the National Federation of the Blind at nfb.org. Arrangements entrusted to Bateman Carroll Funeral Home in Gresham, Oregon.
