Chloe Lynn Wray 67, passed away at her home on May 30th after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and a brief battle with cancer. Chloe was born in Portland, OR to Harold “Gene” and Norma Updegrave on May 26, 1953, the oldest of 6 children. She was raised in Sandy, OR where she attended grade school and high school. After graduating she worked for Taco Bell and Burger King, becoming a manager by the age of 19. In later years she found herself a drafter helping people realize their dream homes through remodeling. She married Ron Wray in 1979 and had 2 sons, Jason and Nathaniel. Through her health struggles and being diagnosed with MS they were divorced. In 2001, while attending her 30 year class reunion, she struck up a conversation with Allan “Skip” Goger, which led to dinner a few days later and then nearly 19 years of rarely being apart. She loved to bring joy to others and she found that joy in her garden, keeping her flowers blooming as long as she could, to everyone’s delight. Chloe is survived by Skip, sons Jason (Akiyo) and Nate (Meera) Wray, grandsons Garrick and Broderick Wray, brothers Larry, Jerry and Roger Updegrave, sister Patti Nordstrom, many nieces and a nephew.
