

He was born to Senko Cha and Maysia Vang on May 7, 1952 in Hulthoc, Laos. He met and married May Lia Her on January 5, 1973 in Luang Prabang, Laos. They were blessed with three sons, seven daughters and thirteen grandchildren.
Chou was one of the first in his family to graduate from college and earned his bachelor's in education. He has taught elementary school for several years in Laos. He fulfilled his role as a devoted and loving father and worked with Sapa Corporation for over 20 years as a machine operator.
His hobbies were hunting, gardening, creating his own arts and crafts and spoiling his grandchildren. He will always be remembered as a loving, generous, loyal and respected person.
He is survived by his loving wife, May Lia Cha Her; his sons, Teng Cha and his wife Kong Vue, Charles Tou Cha, Justin Cha and his wife Vanessa Xiong; his daughters, Mai Dua Cha and her husband Cha Pao Thao, Joyce Kao Cha, Janet Kue Cha, Stacy Cha and her husband Ben, Mary Cha, Chielly Cha, Linda Cha and her husband Ryan Simpson; his siblings Chia Seng Cha, Ka Seng Cha, Chieng Seng Cha, Pa Cha, Sao Cha, Dianne Young Chue; and numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 25, 2011 and Saturday, February 26, 2011 from 9:00am to 11:00pm and Sunday, February 27, 2011 from 9:00am to Monday, February 28, 2011 at 11:30am at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home, 520 W. Powell Blvd in Gresham, Oregon. Graveside Services will be held on Monday, February 28, 2011 at 12:30pm at Gethsemani Cemetery in Portland, Oregon.
