Alice Christine Gentry, 79 of Damascus OR, passed away on June 30, 2021. She was born on July 14, 1941 in Quincy, Illinois to Stanley and Dorothy Cox and graduated from Madison High School in Portland, Oregon. Christine was a past member of Tremont Evangelical Church where she was active with the social committee. She loved traveling with many trips to Rockaway Beach. Christine enjoyed cooking and was known for her meatloaf, tacos and pumpkin pie.
Christine is survived by her daughter Teresa Cartwright (Dean) of Sandy OR; sons Leo Gentry II (Patricia) of Damascus OR and Brian Gentry (Jessica) of Boring OR; sisters Donnie Newton (James) of Rockaway OR and Bonnie Jensen of Portland OR; ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Christine was preceded in death by her daughter Jill Gentry and her sister Sandra Gentry.
A Celebration of Christine’s Life will be held at 12:00pm on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home, 520 W. Powell Blvd in Gresham, Oregon with interment to follow at Lincoln Memorial Park in Portland, Oregon. Contributions may be made to the National Alliance on Mental Illness at www.nami.org where donations can be made in Christine’s name.
