David James Stratton, 48, passed away in Oregon City on July 17, 2012, less than two weeks shy of his birthday. He was born on July 30, 1963 in Portland to parents Theodore and Charlotte Stratton. David graduated from Centennial High School in 1981.
David was an easy going, fun loving man. No matter what the situation, David was always an optimist and remained that way until the very end. He enjoyed being outdoors, whether he was fishing, hunting, or camping, he liked it all. He also loved motorcycles and guns, and generally having a good time. He was always the center of attention, and preferred it that way. David was a jokester, always teasing his family and friends. He was also a hard worker, and stayed busy as long as he could. He adored his granddaughters and lived his life for them.
David is survived by his father, Ted Stratton; son and best friend Tim Stratton and daughter-in-law Leanna Stratton; brother Eddie Stratton; sisters Susan Stratton-Miller and Sally Taylor; and two granddaughters, Kaydance and Addyson, the youngest of which he held on to life long enough to see born. A celebration of David's life will be held at the family home on Sunday July 29, 2012 from noon to five.
