Denny went to Gresham High School. He served his country in the US Army. He attended St. Luke’s Episcopal Church.
Denny grew up with a girl named Claudia Ready. Upon finishing his duty in the Army he fell in love with Claudia. They were married on June 17, 1961 in Gresham, Oregon at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church. Claudia died in 1991.
Some of Denny’s interests included scuba and free diving, sailboats, motorcycles, motorhomes, remote control airplanes, gaming, and was the biggest supporter and fan of his grandchildren. Denny was a member of AA for over 20 years.
Denny is survived by his son Will (and his wife Angie Welty), daughter, Sunshine Cady and his three grandchildren, Cody and Dana Welty and Garrett Cady.
Memorial service will be on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home located at 520 W. Powell Blvd. in Gresham, Oregon.
