

Elizabeth S. (Betty) Hall, born December 27, 1925, in Otthon, Saskatchewan, peacefully passed away on March 7, 2022, at Gresham, Oregon, at 96 years of age.
As a young woman, she graduated from commercial school and worked as a legal secretary for the Canadian Air force. She met and married on April 21, 1951, Wesley O. Hall (deceased 2001). The couple eventually moved to the U.S. following the birth of two children, their third, being born in Lebanon, Oregon. She was a faithful helpmate to her husband in the ministry of the gospel and raised her children in the admonition of the Lord.
She is survived by her children: daughters Sharon (Anton), Brenda (Rick), and son Garry (Linn); grandchildren: Brenda and Rick’s sons, Colton and Daxton; Garry and Linn’s daughters, Lisa, Tina, and Koni; great grandchildren, Tayler (Christian) and Tauren. She is further survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Eileen and Bill, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In widowhood, she resided at Columbia Terrace Retirement Community in Portland, Oregon, and enjoyed the company of fellow residents playing Bunco and working on puzzles. She loved being with family 24/7, eating, shopping, watching grandkid’s sports, or just watching T.V. She also enjoyed the social fellowship of her P.E.O. sisters.
Donations in memory of Betty Hall may be made as follows: a P.E.O. Oregon Scholarship in her honor, payable to OSC P.E.O. Sisterhood Charitable Trust, memo line: Betty Hall, mailed to Carol Potter, 3605 NE 150th Ave., Portland, OR 97230; as well as to the Gresham United Methodist Church.
A memorial service is planned for Saturday, April 9, 2022, at 1 p.m., at Gresham United Methodist Church, 620 NW 8th, Gresham, Oregon 97030. She is laid to rest in Union Cemetery of Cedar Mill, 2035-2099 NW 143rd Avenue, Beaverton, OR 97006.
