Elmore James Bragg Jr.

Elmore "Moe" Bragg Jr., 88, of Portland, OR passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2023. Elmore was born to Elmore Bragg Sr. and Dorothy Bragg on August 16, 1934 in Wendell, ID. He graduated from Jerome High School and attended Idaho State College. Elmore served in the army, and was stationed in France. He married Arlene Stockton in 1957, and they had a son, Steven, and a daughter, LeAnne (Fettig). Elmore and family moved to Portland, OR after the Columbus Day storm to work at Safeco Insurance Co. Later he became an independent appraiser and an owner of a firearms shop. Some of Elmore's favorite pastimes included fishing, hunting, and trap shooting. He enjoyed these activities up until he couldn't any longer when his battle with cancer made it not possible.

Elmore was a member at Lynchwood Christian Church and the Portland Gun Club. He was preceded in death by his parents and Brothers Bruce and Barry, and grandson Daniel Fettig. Elmore is survived by his wife, Arlene, Son, Steven, Daughter, LeAnne, and grand-childen, and one great-grandchild, Elmore! The family wishes to thank the Adventist hospice team for their help and support during this time. The memorial service will be held at Lynchwood Christian Church, 3815 SE 174th Ave., Portland, OR 97236 on Saturday, Aug. 5th at 3:00pm.
