Estelle Margaret Sullivan

Estelle was born on May 7, 1926 in Cleveland, Ohio and was the daughter of Mathew and Evelyn Slavin. She graduated from John Marshall High School in Cleveland and later attended Mt. Hood Community College in Gresham.

Estelle married Thomas L. Sullivan in Cleveland, Ohio. They had six children and moved to the Gresham Area in 1966. They were later divorced.

Estelle worked as a Real Estate Agent for many years. She retired in 2003 from John L. Scott.

She was an active member of St. Henry Catholic Church in Gresham where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and on the Church Board. She was also instrumental in the success of the St. Vincent DePaul Food Pantry housed at St. Henry Parish.

Estelle was also very involved with the Montessori school and was fond of her friends in Gresham Garden Club. She also enjoyed spending time with her family.

Estelle is survived by her sons, Tom Sullivan Jr. of Linwood, Washington, Raymond Sullivan of Gremany and Michael Sullivan of Troutdale, daughters, Paddee Buzzard of Tacoma and Pamela Hergert of Hillsboro and sisters, Ann and Kathryn both of Cleveland along with 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Her son, James preceded her in death.

A rosary will be held on Sunday, December 2, 2012 at 7:00 pm at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 5:00 pm. A Mass will be on Monday, December 3, 2012 at 11:00 am at St. Henry Catholic Church. Interment will take place at Gethsemane Catholic Cemetery. Contributions may be made in memory of Estelle to the St. Vincent DePaul Food Pantry at St. Henry Church. Bateman Carroll Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
