Gianna Jael, beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend, passed away on March 30, 2025, in Phoenix, Arizona, at the age of 18. She left this world in a tragic car accident, but her legacy of love, laughter, and faith will live on forever. Forever 18, forever dancing, forever loved.
Born on March 9, 2007, in Sacramento, California, Gianna was the cherished youngest child of Eliana Giselle and Sergio. In August 2014, she moved with her family to Portland, Oregon, where she attended school in the Centennial School District. In 2023, they relocated to Vancouver, Washington, and Gianna began attending Fort Vancouver High School, where she was known for her kindness, her faith, and her ability to light up a room.
Gianna was deeply loved by her siblings-big sisters GloriAlise and Nyla, and big brother Sergio. As the baby of the family, she brought joy, silliness, and peace into their lives. She was the heart of her family, always the peacemaker, always ready to do anything for the people she loved.
She was a vibrant soul-funny, silly, and full of life. She loved to dance, laugh, and surprise others with quirky moments-random trust falls, unexpected hugs, or suddenly jumping into your lap. She made friends effortlessly, and the families of her friends loved her just as much. Her warm smile and joyful spirit made everyone feel seen and loved.
Gianna played softball for many years, and through the sport, she and her family built an incredible community of love and support. She wasn’t just a great teammate-she was a source of light on and off the field. Her athleticism, positive attitude, and the way she lifted up those around her left a lasting impression on everyone who shared the dugout, the bleachers, or a game-day snack with her.
At just 16 years old, Gianna launched her own floral business, Gigi.Goodiez, where she created custom bouquets and ramos that made every recipient feel cherished. Each arrangement was more than flowers -it was an extension of her heart. Through her creative touch, Gianna reminded others that they were loved, seen, and special.
Gianna was also deeply spiritual, and in recent years, she was actively seeking a stronger relationship with God. She read her Bible often and openly shared God’s love with her family and friends. She brought many hearts closer to Him, simply by being herself. Her favorite saying, “Ju Vibe,” was a reminder to vibe and live freely and joyfully, and she did just that-without regret, and with so much heart.
She also loved family movie nights, watching Netflix, and going on road trips with her mom and siblings. Together, they made unforgettable memories with extended family in Sacramento, Oxnard, San Diego, and Mexico. Gianna cherished those moments and the people who filled them.
She is survived by her loving mother, Eliana Giselle; her father, Sergio; her sisters GloriAlise and Nyla; her brother Sergio; and a wide circle of extended family, teammates, customers, and friends who are heartbroken by her passing and inspired by her life. She brought unity to her entire family and touched countless lives with her kindness, faith, and vibrant energy.
We are overwhelmed and deeply grateful for the love, prayers, and support that have been poured over our family. Gianna sparked change in others. She forgave easily, loved fully, and reminded us all to trust God, live freely, and hold nothing back.
Her favorite verse was:
"God is within her, she will not fall." Psalm 46:5
We hold tight to that promise now, knowing her spirit lives on in every bloom, every dance, and every heart she touched.
