Faith, family, kindhearted, a great smile and a great sense of humor are just a few of the ways to describe Herman Greene Jr., 69, of Sandy, Oregon. Herman was born in Portland, Oregon to Herman and Helen (Lamb) Greene on February 12, 1946. He was raised with two sisters. Herman graduated from Portland Christian High School. Professionally, Herman worked for Reynolds Metal Company and retired after 25 years of service. Herman also owned and operated Greene's Mt. Hood Appliance shortly after his time working for Reynolds Metals. He belonged to Sandy Nazarene Church. Herman enjoyed spending time with family, the outdoors, hunting and fishing, cooking, music, gardening, and watching sports, especially baseball. Herman passed away at home on October 9, 2015 from a brain tumor. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Verdella Ann and MaryLou. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Christine; children, Colleen (Tim), Doug (Stephanie), Lauri, Kimi (Erick), Carrie; grandchildren, Jacob, McKenna, Nathan, Sydney, EJ, Emmalie. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
