

Janette Byrd passed away on December 10, 2020 in Boring, Oregon. She was born on August 23, 1953 in Newberg, Oregon to Kenneth and Bobbie (Howard) Lyon. After Kenneth died Russ Yeary came into Janette’s life.
Janette attended Newberg High School. In 1971 she met her to be husband Doyal Byrd.
Janette volunteered at the Newberg Thrift Store. She loved to play Bingo. She liked to go to other peoples home to clean and do laundry and separate items for recycling. She liked camping and her walks with her grandkids to feed the chickens. She loved listening to the Police Scanner. She liked taking her grandson Connor to Hometown Buffet. She was a big time “Hippy”. She liked to go to the graveyard to visit her son Ricky’s grave and to care for it.
Janette always had candy with her that she would give to her grandchildren. She liked watching the livestream protests on Facebook. She liked drinking Pepsi, Sprite and Starbucks Coffee. She enjoyed going to car shows. She loved black hills gold jewelry. She loved having her grandchildren brush her hair and rub her feet. She loved cats and dogs, especially “Buster” and “Lisa”.
Janette liked watching TV game shows, the news, Law and Order Episodes, and Christmas Movies. She loving going to her kids home and her brother Milo and Stacey’s homes where she would couch surf for weeks at a time. Janette’s biggest Love was her family. In her later life she loved having Tattoos. She was a handy person at home. She loved going to the Old Fashion Festival in Newberg. She liked going on vacations with any of her children as long as she didn’t have to fly. She loved baking cakes for and with her grandchildren. She loved to garden. She loved everyone. She liked having her family come over and decorate the Christmas Tree.
Janette is survived by her husband Doyal Gene Byrd, her children Tricia Nolen, Ricky Byrd (deceased), Jimmy Byrd, Teresa Byrd, Trina Byrd, Annie Ames, Angie Byrd, Doyal Byrd, Sherry Byrd (deceased). She is also survived by her siblings, Kenny, Milo, Susan and Eddie. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Devin Nolen, Jordan Byrd, Arianna Nolen, Allison Nolen, Ricky Healon, Connor Healon, Savanah Healon, Penelope Healon, Tapanga Nolen, Bailey Nolen, Meagan and Amanda and her many more grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home located at 520 W. Powell Blvd. in Gresham, Oregon.
