Karen Lee Arendt was born July 5, 1933 in Pendleton, Oregon to Bennerd and Ellen (Sautebin) Lee. She graduated from Pendleton High School in 1951 and from the University of Oregon in 1955, the same year she married Harold Arendt.
Harold and Karen were married for 51 years. They settled in Portland in 1958 where she was active in Gethsemane Lutheran Church and in Bible Study Fellowship. For 19 years she was employed at East Portland Surgical Clinic, retiring in 1996.
Karen is survived by her 3 sons, Marty of Gresham, Terry, Brian and his wife Karen Jr. of Aurora. Granddaughters, Sara and Michelle and Great Granddaughter, Emily.
A graveside service will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery.
Remembrances may be given to Soltera Hospice in Salem, Oregon.
