Mark James Passow was born November 12, 1955 at Fort Dodge, Iowa, the fifth of eleven children born to Dale Francis and Bonnie Faye (Lewis) Passow. Mark was raised and schooled at St. Matthews Claire in Claire, Iowa, then Fort Dodge Jr. High School and Fort Dodge High School. He lived in the Midwest until he moved to the Northwest area in 1986.
Mark was a Master Carpenter. He passed his skills on to his son Matthew, who later became a co-owner and partner in their business Division 6 Contracting. Mark and Nicole also spent a few years together in the family business. In school Mark played football and baseball, and he road dirt bikes as a pastime. In his later years Mark loved antique shopping; his favorites were "trunks, tractors, and oil lamps”. At work Mark always thought his most important tool was his stereo. It was the first thing out and the last thing put away every day. If you ever needed a good laugh you could ask him to tell a story, he would describe things so well you felt like you were there and he would put so much passion into the story it would always make you laugh.
Mark is survived by his wife Carol Passow, children: Matthew (Mary) Passow, Nicole (Doug) McBride, grandchildren: Ayric and Alexzandria Passow, Tyler and Makaela McBride, Mother: Bonnie Passow, siblings: Mary Anne Robert, Denise Passow, Debbie Papoochi, Sherry Dencklau, Jay Passow, Joe Passow, Dale Passow.
He was preceded in death by: his father Dale Passow, and siblings: Paul Passow, Cynthia Hiller and Bob Passow.
