Oscar Bloom Jr.

Oscar Bloom passed away on March 2, 2019 in Portland, Oregon at the age of 87. He was born on April 22, 1931 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Oscar and Margaret (Baumert) Bloom.

Oscar attended Benson High School. He served his country in the United States Air Force.

Oscar married Shirley Bateman on December 29, 1953 in Stevenson, Washington. In 1984 Oscar and his wife Shirley started United Pipe Bending and Fabrication Inc., which is still in operation today.

Oscar enjoyed fishing, hunting, old car restoration, and was a member of the Douglas Ridge Rifle Club.

Memorial service will be on Friday, March 15, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home located at 520 W. Powell Blvd. in Gresham, Oregon.

Oscar is survived by his loving wife Shirley, two daughters, Wendy and her husband Dave Hamilton and Pam and her husband John Gustafson, grandson Jason and his wife Beth Hamilton, granddaughter Michelle and her husband Paul Eaton, grandson Ryan and his wife Bri Hamilton, granddaughter Shelly and her husband Grant Fox, six great grandchildren and his beloved dog Evie.
