Richard Harold Johnson

Mr. Johnson lived for many years in Costa Mesa, California. In 1980 he moved to the Portland, Oregon area. He had been residing in the east Portland/Gresham area. Mr. Johnson serviced his country in the U.S. Army surviving in the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion Post #1.

Mr. Johnson married Katherine “Kay” Lundy on November 30, 1991 in Vancouver, Washington. Mr. Johnson was the lead custodian at Centennial School District .Hobbies included woodworking, RV-ing, and he loved being around his birds and squirrels.

Survivors include his loving wife Kay, of Portland, OR., 5 sons, Vince, Carl, Bobby, Rick and Billy Johnson, who all live in Costa Mesa, CA., daughter, Diane Hedrick, of Peoria, Illinois and his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home located at 520 W. Powell Blvd. in Gresham, Oregon. A concluding graveside service will follow at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10th at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.
